  • Mature Worker Career Fairs – Employers participate in day-long event that draws numerous mature job seekers possessing a broad range of skills, talents, and educational backgrounds - $700 per table.  As a participating employer, your firm’s logo will be posted for three months on the Operation A.B.L.E. web site www.operationable.net, along with a direct link to your job listings page (a $300 value).

Our two career fairs in 2006 drew a total of 850 mature job seekers.  If you are one of the many Boston-area employers who participated in those events, you already know that Operation A.B.L.E. career fairs are truly unique.  We are the only organization in eastern Massachusetts dedicated to matching your hiring needs with a talented pool of mature, highly skilled, and loyal workers – contributors who possess the work ethic to make a real contribution.

Operation ABLE analyzed 462 resumes collected from the 850 job seekers attending the May and November 2006 career fairs. No reasons were given by attendees unwilling to submit their resumes. Our examination revealed the following:

    Education level:                  May                                     November                                   Total
    High School*                          72-29%                                55-25%                                         127-27%
    Associates                            25-10%                                47-22%                                         72-16%
    Bachelors                              94-38%                                65-30%                                         159-34%

    Doctorate                               7-3%                                    6-3%                                             13-3%

Most job seekers with high school diplomas also had significant advanced training and capabilities.
