When the ABLE Beginnings program was conceived in 2011 it was to provide basic computer skills training to veterans or older employees who had either been downsized or retired after 30 + years of employment. To their credit, many of them realized that to re-enter the job force they needed to update their proficiency and use of basic Microsoft tools such as MS Word and Excel.
Operation ABLE Hosts Virtual “Coffee with Governor Charlie Baker” Event on June 3, 2020
Operation ABLE hosted its second annual Breakfast event on June 3 with great success! Due to the need for safety and continued social distancing, the event was held online via ZOOM teleconferencing, a first for the team. Several video testimonials from Operation ABLE students and employer partners regarding their experiences working with the Operation ABLE staff through the recent health crisis were a significant highlight.
