6/30/2020
Operation ABLE hosted its second annual Breakfast event on June 3 with great success! Due to the need for safety and continued social distancing, the event was held online via ZOOM teleconferencing, a first for the team. Several video testimonials from Operation ABLE students and employer partners regarding their experiences working with the Operation ABLE staff through the recent health crisis were a significant highlight. Other featured participants included:
Lydia Greene, Chairperson of Operation ABLE’s Board of Directors and Senior Vice-President and Chief Human Resource Officer for Tufts Healthcare, welcomed attendees, while also expressing appreciation to the event’s sponsors and donors for their support.
Marian Walsh, Operation ABLE’s President and CEO, spoke passionately about the need for social justice and continued support for the job seeker community at large.
Marian also introduced Governor Charlie Baker, who provided a video in support of the event, as well as for Operation ABLE’s mission to provide employment and training opportunities to job seekers from economically, racially and occupationally diverse backgrounds.
Steve Taranto, co-chair of Operation ABLE’s Development Committee and Director of Human Resources at Mass General Hospital (check titles), closed the event. He expressed his thanks to all the donors and sponsors whose generosity provides financial support for participants in Operation ABLE’s training programs.
Operation ABLE’s Leadership Team and Board of Directors would like to express their appreciation to all attendees, as well as to those who worked so hard during this health crisis to ensure the event’s success.
BRAVO!
